Dear Prayer Partners
This is part of an email sent by Nancy, Chairman of the Colombian Board,
in January for our prayers.
PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING
Even though this year we had disagreeable things happen, we have many
reasons to give thanks to our great God for His great and marvelous blessings.
Children Receiving Christ
The job was hard but we feel very joyful when we see the number of
children that have received Christ and have heard the gospel.
Material Blessings
We are also thankful for the material blessings we have received. Both
the children of Fusa and Lucero had a children's show presented by Word of Life
ministries, they shared the gospel with the children using a musical play. We
also delivered gifts to them, the gifts were of clothes and groceries which were
donated by an uncle of Rocio -- all of this was from churches, you all in
England, friends and employees of the Bank Colpatria, a business called Hatofina
-- all of whom helped us make happy needy children for Christmas. We gave gifts
to nearly 400 children in Lucero and Fusa and got two new sponsors for Willie
Gomez as well.
Granja Peniel
Another blessing is that we finished the house at the farm .... and
there are many things for which we can be thankful.
Christmas
All of the children of Casa Peniel went to their families for Christmas,
the children wanted to go and the parents told us they wanted to have Christmas
with their children. We are fearful to let them go sometimes but we cannot
ignore the requests of their parents, we must trust in the Lord and He can care
for them. Norberto and Willie wanted to return early so they are with the Bye
family during this time, we will go to Fusa day after tomorrow to get Andres.
The Boys
Diego, Victor and Norberto have confirmed places in the school in El
Rosal, we have to go soon to find out if there will be spaces for the others.
PRAYER REQUESTS FOR 2002
These are our prayer requests for the New Year:
I want to tell you about what is going on in my life. It was a great
blessing to be with my family [over Christmas], I could rest and reorder my
ideas...... I needed to get some distance and be in the warmth of my family. I
left the 20th and arrived the 21st. It was difficult, we have to be careful
because of the guerrillas and there were many traffic jams in the road. But
thanks to the Lord we arrived well and I could think and dream, I have many
ideas about future projects, one is of the farm and the other of the carpenter
workshop, I ask the Lord for gifted people to help in these things. Also for the
feeding program for Lucero, I know that the Lord will provide, our plan of
strategy is to pray.
In Christ
